I have been reading Whole Dog Journal and Natural Pets newsletters and some other journals and I have grown concerned about the health of the American dog population. It seems that a lot of the dog food fed to our beloved pets is making them sick with thyroid, allergy, bone, liver, and even cancer issues. This leads to suffering or death and also creates large veterinarian bills.

I hope that you read this message about food and evaluate the food you feed your dog. Please consider the possibility of making a change for the better!

I am frustrated with the poor health results that expensive and cheap dog food can cause in our dogs. Even veterinarian recommended dog food. And I am worried about the health of the puppies that I send out from here.

I would just like to offer some suggestions to you regarding dog food. I really, really believe that
being careful with dog food will improve the health and longevity of our dogs.

I used to feed a variety of dry food when I wasn't feeding raw or home made. But I am always trying to do better, and I found food that I like even better than the dry food that I have recommended in the past.

If you think about it, how can some dusty, hard, dry food in a bag sustain life and longevity in a dog? Well, it can't unless it is made right and with the right ingredients. But it can also cause kidney damage, thyroid damage, adrenal damage etc. if it is made with inferior ingredients in an inferior way. Please think about this. Plus Goldendoodles and Labradoodles can have skin issues with poor quality food. Especially food with corn type ingredients or wheat.

I like to make my own dog food, or feed raw. However, this can be tricky and time consuming. So, I like to have a stand by available.

When one of my puppies goes home, I like to think that they will have a healthy diet for the rest of their life. I used to recommend certain puppy foods, but didn't insist on it. Now I am thinking of changing that, and insisting on at least 6 months of the puppy food I recommend. Just so that they have a good start in life. This healthy jumpstart to their life is so important and it will really make a difference in their health for the rest of their life!
And as your dog ages, I recommend giving him Golden Paste. It can save your dog's life!

My first recommendation for dog or puppy food is Life's Abundance. I recommend it because of the way it is made, the ingredients it has in it, and how it is stored.

Since I am committed to recommending this food, I have my own web site for it.

So why am I serious about this food?
Quick 15 seconds extruded cooking time
No steroids or hormones!
No chemical preservatives, additives, by products, or artificial coloring agents.
No corn or wheat!
Powerful antioxidants
Cheated minerals
AAFCO & APHIS (can be sold in Europe) regulations
USDA grade ingredients AND facility
Never over 4-6 weeks old when shipped - it's never stored in a store somewhere
Micro encapsulated Probiotics

You should probably auto ship the food to yourself. I did, it's the cheaper choice.

My second choice, not second best - just a different form, is BARF. This stands for Biologically Appropriate Raw Food. The best of the very best. My dogs absolutely love this stuff!

I recommend BARF World multi-mix patties because there are 30 years of research by Dr. Ian Billinghurst, who formulated it, behind the recipes. It is truly complete and balanced, convenient, and simple to feed with high quality proteins from non-GMO, grass fed animals without antibiotics. The fruits and veggies are in a pulverized form (the only form that pets can assimilate), and are all grown on small farms in the USA. Call them at 1-866-282-2273 (BARF®) and use affiliate code #1107 and ask for Christopher who will help you customize your diet for your dog/puppy’s needs. Using my affiliate code will help you get quantity discounts and personalized mentoring with the company. They are really, truly helpful! (You can also use This link http://www.barfworld.com/cgi-bin/product.cgi?category=29&af=1107. )
It comes in a convenient patty form that is easy to feed your dog, that stores easily in a freezer.
I would also ask for the auto ship - case quantity -because you can save $25.

What I do is feed the Life's Abundance in the morning, and the BARF in the afternoon. The food will last a long time if you divide it up like this and you won't have to use up the BARF so fast. So don't feed the whole daily recommended amount of each food every day. Just half the recommended amount each day. I also will give them other meats from the grocer or butcher to make the prepared dry and BARF food last longer. Sometimes I give them rice and boiled ground chicken, or ground beef.
I also will cook my leftover chicken carcass in the crock pot with water covering it and feed the broth to the dogs. This is bone broth! An excellent health giving, full of nutrients and healing power broth!

Please let me know if you have any questions about what I am saying. Or how to feed the BARF diet.
Or questions about Golden Paste or Bone Broth.
Thank you for listening. I know you probably really love your dog and want him to be healthy and live a long, good life. If so, you need to take his food seriously.
Thanks so much!
Take care
